Terms of Service
01 Agreement
These Terms govern your use of the Offload mobile application ("Offload", "the app"). By downloading or using Offload, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Offload is provided by the independent developer who operates Offload ("we", "us"). Contact: [email protected].
02 What Offload does — and what it does not promise
Offload helps you track documents, subscriptions, and other things that expire, and reminds you before they do. It is a personal organization aid.
Important — reminders are a convenience, not a guarantee. Offload schedules reminders locally on your device. Whether and when a reminder actually reaches you depends on factors outside our control, including your device's settings, battery and "do not disturb" modes, operating-system limits on background activity, your notification permissions, the clock and timezone on your device, and the accuracy of the dates you entered.
You remain solely responsible for renewing your own documents, registrations, licenses, insurance, and subscriptions on time. Offload does not renew anything for you, does not contact any authority on your behalf, and is not a substitute for official notices, legal, financial, or professional advice. We are not liable for any consequence of a missed, late, or incorrect renewal — including fines, penalties, lapses, or loss.
03 Your responsibilities
- The information Offload tracks is the information you provide or scan. You are responsible for its accuracy. Scanning and text recognition can misread documents; verify every extracted date and value against the physical document.
- Keep your device and your app lock (PIN/biometric) secure. Because your data is stored only on your device, your device security is your data security.
- Use Offload only for lawful, personal purposes, and only with documents and information you are entitled to hold.
04 Subscriptions, purchases, and trials
- Offload offers paid plans and optional add-ons. Purchases are made through and billed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, and managed via RevenueCat. We never receive your payment-card details.
- Auto-renewal: paid plans renew automatically for the chosen period (weekly, monthly, or annual) unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store / Google Play account settings.
- Free trial: where offered, the introductory free trial converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless cancelled beforehand. Trial eligibility is determined by the app store and is generally once per account.
- Add-ons (e.g. extra vehicle or profile slots, unlimited subscription tracking) unlock the stated capacity. One-time add-ons are permanent unlocks; subscription add-ons renew like plans.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their respective policies; we do not separately process payments and so generally cannot issue refunds directly. Pricing may change; changes do not affect the period you have already paid for.
05 Intellectual property
Offload, including the "Offload" name, the Pax elephant mascot, the app's design, text, and graphics, is owned by us and protected by applicable laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your own use under these Terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or create derivative works from the app except as permitted by law. Your own document data and content remain yours.
06 Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the app for any unlawful purpose; attempt to breach or circumvent its security or app-lock features; interfere with its operation; or submit, through the feedback feature, content that is unlawful, abusive, or infringes others' rights.
07 Disclaimers
Offload is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted or error-free operation, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that reminders will always be delivered, that OCR will be accurate, or that the app will be free of errors.
08 Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from a missed, late, or inaccurate reminder or renewal, loss of data, or unauthorized access to your device. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
09 Termination
You may stop using Offload at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or end the app or a feature, or these Terms, where reasonably necessary (for example, for legal or security reasons). On termination, the license in Section 5 ends; your local data remains on your device until you delete it.
10 Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will change the version and effective date above and, for material changes, surface a notice in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
11 Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kuwait, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence, the courts of Kuwait will have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, UK, or another jurisdiction whose law grants you the right to bring proceedings locally, these Terms do not remove that right.
